Scarborough Lake Apartments

This place definitely comes with it's ups and downs. The location is great, the staff is beyond helpful and friendly, maintenance is always around doing work, and my neighbors are respectful. The biggest downside I have so far is that the laundry rooms are beyond disgusting and scary, so much so that I opt to go to a local laundromat instead. They seem to be used for smoking and doing drugs than for washing clothes. The apartments themselves are also pretty dated on the inside, although the outside does have great curb appeal. My apartment has a great view, and all of my appliances are clean and work great, but the whole place definitely got the "landlord treatment" before I moved in. I've spent a lot of time trying to remove partially painted over hairs in the bathroom and the tackiness of the kitchen cabinets from layers of cheap paint. At the end of the day, this is a cheaper apartment complex so I was expecting some of this, but it isn't a bad place and the complex is always asking for feedback, so I hope to see improvements soon!

I want to brag on my leasing agent Alisha!!! My first call to the apartments to inquire about residency I had the pleasure of speaking with this beautiful soul. She walked me through the whole process from applying all the way to my move in. When I moved in things were not perfect I will not lie BUT Alisha and the staff have made my living and comfort here a priority and I’m grateful. She is very professional and does everything in excellence. Her customer service skills are unmatched!!!! When you call and inquire tell them I sent you and ask for Alisha you will not be disappointed!!!! Thanks Alisha!!!!!

Scarborough lake is unprofessional, and liars, I got approved for a one bedroom then they tried to charge me a holding fee after the leasing lady told me there was no more units available, but then the manager told me that they did have a one bedroom ready for me and I told him I was unaware because the lady told me they didn’t have anything, then they hung up on me when I told the manager that I was lied to because obviously Scarborough lake is beautiful place to live and I was excited to live there but then the lady lied and said they were all booked up after I was already approved, Scarborough is a beautiful apartment but the agency sucks

I have lived here since January of 2020. And recently moved out due to a new job opportunity, otherwise I would have still been living here. The number one thing I loved about staying here was maintenance. Anytime I put in a request it was completed literally within 24-48 hours. The maintenance men are all super professional and kind. They’d always explain the issue and what they were doing to fix it when I asked. The apartments are fairly affordable. I really had great experiences with the leasing agent Kaley Bolante! She has always been nice, helpful and responsive. I usually deal with only her and another young lady. The only issues I had was the apartments are outdated and ants when I initially moved in (an exterminator came the next day and killed any bug- we didn’t see a bug in our apartment for over a year! And even then it was mostly spiders and those thousand legs). These apartments are in the perfect location! 38th has a lot of stores and the highway is right by it.

It's very expensive for a small 1 bedroom & the closet isnt even a real closet, have nowhere to handle clothes and it's so tiny, it's literally for ppl who have very little things. I'm guessing the high price is for the view of the lake but that's not what I need I need it to be more fair priced for the small size & no closet. And I can't enjoy the lake anyway cz there's a man that always walk his Pitbull outside without a leash & it barks at people and act like it's going to attack! So I stay in this box out of fear and can't even feel safe outside
